Our latest trip to Maldives

G’day friends,

Jamie, BT and Suzi from The Perfect Wave have just recently returned from a trip to the Maldives, visiting resorts we work with to see how ready they are for 2012 Maldives surf season that has just started. Cokes Surf Camp, Kandooma Resort and Six Senses Resort (Laamu Atoll) have already welcomed the first TPW guests this year and all are reporting very good surf conditions and regular swell since the start.

The Perfect Wave surf program at Kandooma has started running this year on April 7th, with TPW Aussie guide Rob looking after all our clients and taking them to surrounding breaks – Riptides, Foxy’s, Twin Peaks, Quarters, Lucky Joes and Kate’s – unless the choice is to surf Kandooma Right which is right out the front! The Banyak Islands is about 10 hours boat journey off the coast of Sibolga, and a short 1 hour flight from Medan. The area possesses some of the best waves on the planet and is well known for its right hand reef point break known as Treasure Island which is said to be the easiest wave in the world to get multiple barrels.

NZ Surfing Adventures latest 3-day trip

The Coffee Club was their first corporate trip with NZ Sponsorship Agency and was a cracker. Nick, Rithie and Harvey and Nick from NZ Surfing Adventures headed down to Raglan on Sunday night once they had said good night to their families. The next morning they scored the points, then drove down to Taranaki where they were joined by Shauny. The next 2 days were spent scoring unreal reefs along the surf highway whilist tasting the finest coffee and chicken wraps that the local cafes had to offer.

Welcome to the 2012 Indo Odyssey!

G’day friends,

The Indo Odyssey is a unique surf experience and one of our favourite surf operators. What they offer is a cruise around the whole Indonesian archipielago over each season, starting in Rote (East Indonesia) and then passing Bali, South Sumatra over to Mentawai and Telos, visiting all famous, but also less famous but equally great spots like Enganno or Panaitan Island.

 

The Indo Odyssey - Bulan Purnama

The 2012 Season shaping up to be one of their best. They’ve made some nice improvements to their vessel Bulan Purnama, they’ve revamped the schedule to focus on the area between West Java and the Telos, and they’ve picked up new staff.
